Justin Hopkins is the Chief Technology Officer of BinaryLab. He leads the creation and implementation of cybersecurity forensics investigations and post breach remediation programs.

A cybersecurity crisis management expert with more than a decade of experience in systems administration in fast-paced hospital environments, Justin has facilitated and managed the response to and remediation of dozens of cyber breaches throughout the entirety of the attack lifecycle.

Justin enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the U.S. Army Signal Center as an Information Systems Analyst.  There, he was tasked with managing information systems networks. After four years serving in the position, Justin transferred to Fort Gordon, GA. While there, he led a team of four soldiers, managed the Joint Network Node shelter, and provided subscribers with services. He also worked extensively with Cisco Call Manager and Legacy communication equipment as the Nodal Network Operator.

Most recently, Justin was the Lead of Post Breach Remediation at Redpoint Cyber. While in that position, he coordinated and supported forensic investigation and post breach remediation efforts, allocated internal assets to restore affected environments, and deployed decryption keys. He also reported daily to clients and his team on project updates, created various documentation on the project plan and efforts, and created structured phased approaches to the restoration of clients’ systems to meet their needs and best practices.

Justin previously worked with and for the U.S. Army, the PA National Guard, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Auburn Hospital, and private businesses to help them assess, repair, and protect their systems against cybersecurity threats.
